<h3>Who we are</h3>
<p>Sean Humphrey House (SHH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Bellingham, Washington whose mission is to optimize the quality of life for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS, who may also suffer from other diseases and disabilities, and who are unable to live independently.</p>
<p>Our House is named after <a href="/about#sean">Sean Humphrey</a>, a 30 year-old man who died from AIDS in 1992. In accordance with Sean&#8217;s vision to provide safe housing and personal care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, Sean Humphrey House was founded in 1996 by his family and countless volunteers.</p>
<h3>What we do</h3>
<p>Sean Humphrey House is one of the few Adult Family Homes licensed by the State of Washington to provide a residence, meals, medical management services, counseling, recreational activities, and other support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.</p>

<h3>Our home</h3>
<p>The House consists of six studio apartments, each with private entrance, bathroom, and furnishings; adjoined to a community living space. The family-home setting allows residents at Sean Humphrey House to maintain independent fulfilling lives while having access to support services in order to remain healthy and combat HIV/AIDS. Our aim is to foster good physical health as well as the feelings of confidence, high self-esteem and a sense of security in our residents.</p>

<h3>How you can help</h3>
<p>It is only with the support of our dedicated volunteers, donors and staff that we are able to provide high quality services for our residents.</p>
<p>From preparing meals, to walking our House dog, to helping us plan fundraisers, or simply spending time with our residents, our <a href="http://www.seanhumphreyhouse.org/volunteer">volunteers</a> are an integral part of supporting our residents.
